Samaná is one of the most colorful regions of the Dominican Republic, renowned for its pristine nature: beaches with crystal-clear water, tropical forests, and waterfalls.
And you have likely already seen them! Where? In movies – the peninsula is often used as a filming location. For instance, scenes for the movies "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Fast & Furious 4" were shot here. Moreover, Samaná holds the world record for the number of palm trees per square meter.

We recommend visiting:
▪ Cayo Levantado – known for its stunningly beautiful white sandy beaches; it was here that the advertisement for the famous Cuban rum brand "Bacardi" was filmed, hence the island is often called "Bacardi Island".
▪ El Limon - an amazing waterfall surrounded by jungles, the highest in the country (50 m). To reach it, you can take a horseback riding tour, it will take you from 30 to 50 minutes.
▪ Rincon Beach – it is one of the most famous and beautiful beaches on the peninsula, stretching for 5 km.
▪ And of course, the humpback whale excursion – it is a unique opportunity to watch these animals during their annual migration. The best time for observation is from January to March.
The highways in the Dominican Republic are in excellent condition, in part due to the fact that most of the country's main highways are toll roads. We advise having cash in pesos on hand for toll payments. The sun is quite active in the country, so it is always advisable to use sunscreen with 50% protection and head coverings. Also, don’t forget that you are on a tropical island; towels, swimsuits, and flip-flops will never be superfluous.
And these are just a small part of the attractions that you can see on this stunningly beautiful peninsula. Be sure to write to us and receive a free guide to the most interesting places in Samaná!
